Aldwickbury Park Golf Club

Harpenden, Hertfordshire · Hosts one PJGT event in 2027

About the club

Aldwickbury Park Golf Club sits on the eastern edge of Harpenden, on rolling ground above the Lea Valley. It is one of the more accessible PJGT venues in the south – a few minutes from the M1 at junction 9, and a short drive from Harpenden station on the Thameslink line out of St Pancras, which makes it a straightforward trip for families across Hertfordshire and north London.

The Park Course was laid out in 1995 by former Ryder Cup player Ken Brown with the architect Martin Gillett, and runs to a par 72 of 6,368 yards across roughly 170 acres of mature woodland, lakes and undulating parkland. The club is known for the quality of its greens and for the fact that no two holes feel quite the same.

What sets Aldwickbury apart for junior golf is the Manor Course, a proper nine-hole short course of around 1,000 yards with its own woodland, water and bunkering. The club has built a well-regarded junior programme around it, with group coaching, holiday camps and a junior membership package that includes unlimited access to the short course.
