EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. RULES

Players with a WHS Handicap Index (HI) must be able to prove their Handicap by using the MY EG app, handicap certificate or equivalent Home Union Index App.

Players must register a minimum of 30 minutes before their tee time and must be with the starter on the first tee at least 10 minutes before their tee time.

All players are responsible for their own scorecard and must sign it before bringing it to the registration desk immediately after the completion of play.

We will also be using the Golf Genius app to score all events, and one person per group will be responsible to accurately score each grouping using the relevant GGID code.

2. ENTRIES

All players must enter online and create a free profile via the Golf Genius portal.

Entries will be limited per event, subject to tee time availability.

Confirmation of entry will be made via email once application and full payment has been received.

3. ETIQUETTE & FAIR PLAY

Caddying is permitted at all of the PING Junior Golf Tour events.

However, ‘caddying’ must only extend to carrying a players bag/ pushing a trolley, ensuring that players are selecting their own clubs and making their own decisions.

A parent/ guardian must remain at the Golf Club unless another parent is prepared to take responsibility for the player.

We encourage Parents, Guardians and Family to go onto the course to watch and support the Junior Golfers, but they must refrain from giving advice, and keep off the greens.

4. INCLEMENT WEATHER

If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather or another reason out of our control, the event organisers will try to reschedule the event within the same year. If this is not possible, we will either rearrange the fixture for the following year, or give a full refund.

If thunder and lightning is present on the day of play the course will be evacuated and play postponed. The Tournament Director and Club will take the most appropriate action, with safety of players, parents and organisers being of paramount importance.

5. REFUNDS

A full refund will be given if the request is received via the Golf Genius portal within
15 days of the event.
Any withdrawals received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded unless we have a confirmed waiting list and can successfully fill your place.

Any withdrawals received within 2 days (48 hours) of the event will result in the refunds being forfeited.

All requests for refunds must be received via the Golf Genius platform.
Failure to inform the organiser that you are unable to attend an event you have
entered, unless an emergency will result in the junior being unable to win a prize at the
following event, they play in each Division will qualify for the Grand Final.

6. ORDER OF MERIT POINTS (Gross & Nett)

The following points will be awarded to each placed player within their designated category:

NB: If 2 or more players finish with the same score, then a countback will be applied to determine the winner (i.e Last 9, 6, 3, 1 holes).

There are 17 different playing divisions with the PJGT, so that it’s equitable and gives players of various abilities to participate and have a chance of winning.

Each player will compete in an Order of Merit with the Best 5 scores to count towards the Order of Merit placing. The Golf Genius platform is set up to automatically calculate what those best 5 score are throughout the playing season. For example, if a player competes in 8 events and finishes: 1st, 2nd, 6th, 2nd, 5th, 3rd, 4th, & 10th throughout the year, the system will only calculate the best 5 results.

7. GRAND FINAL

Players will be informed of their place in the Final within a week of the last qualifying
event (where possible)

Any player who knows he or she will not be available to take part in the Grand Final
must inform the Tournament Director. Players are still welcome to play in the qualifying
events and order of merit.
The 2025 Grand Final will be held on Saturday 13th September 2025 at Thonock Park (Lincolnshire)

PING Junior Golf Tour – Parent Code of Conduct

At the PING Junior Golf Tour, we believe that parents play a crucial role in creating a positive, respectful, and enjoyable environment for junior golfers. To ensure the best possible experience for all participants, we ask that all parents, guardians and spectators adhere to the following Code of Conduct.

  1. Supportive Behaviour
  • Encourage your child to play for fun, personal development, and the love of the game.
  • Show appreciation for good performances by all players, not just your own child.
  • Celebrate effort, improvement, and sportsmanship above results.
  • Help the flow of the game by keeping up with the group in front and maintaining a good pace of play – which is enjoyable for everyone.
  1. Respect for All
  • Treat all players, parents, volunteers, officials, and staff with courtesy and respect at all times.
  • Accept decisions made by referees, marshals, and tournament organisers – no matter the outcome.
  • Never engage in criticism, confrontation, or negative behaviour on or off the course.
  1. Golf Etiquette and Safety
  • Stay clear of playing areas unless permitted by officials, this includes refraining from standing on greens.
  • Maintain a respectful distance from players during competition rounds.
  • Ensure mobile phones are on silent and used responsibly around the course.
  • Parents/ Spectators must not decide on any rulings throughout the tournament. If there’s any doubt on a ruling, please see the Tournament Director at the end of the event.
  1. Encourage Independence
  • Allow your child to learn the game through experience – coaching on the course is not permitted.
  • Trust in the officials and tour staff to support players fairly and consistently.
  • Help your child understand the importance of responsibility, honesty, and playing within the rules.
  1. Parental Involvement
  • We welcome and value parental involvement both on and off the course – whether through volunteering, assisting with events, or helping to grow the tour’s community.
  • If you would like to contribute your time, skills, or ideas, please speak with a member of the tour team.
  • Constructive involvement helps us provide a better experience for all juniors and promotes a strong, family-friendly atmosphere.
  1. Be a Positive Role Model
  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship in victory and defeat.
  • Promote inclusivity, fairness, and a team spirit among other families.
  • Remember that your actions and attitudes shape the experience of everyone involved.
  1. Zero Tolerance for Abuse
  • The PING Junior Golf Tour has zero tolerance for verbal or physical abuse towards players, staff, volunteers, or fellow spectators.
  • Any breach of this code may result in removal from the event or future exclusion from the tour.
  1. Disputes and Challenges (Rules Breaches)
  • For any disputes and challenges between players, every attempt MUST be made to resolve things between the players and before signing for and returning the score in the first instance.
  • Any decisions made by referees, marshals, and tournament organisers must be accepted – no matter the outcome.

 

Agreement

By attending and supporting events on the PING Junior Golf Tour, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to a welcoming, respectful atmosphere that supports junior golf in its best light.
