MASTERS TOUR RULES
1.ENTRIES
Entries are open to players who:
- Are aged 21 years old and under on 1stJanuary 2025. (Boys and Girls).
- Have a WHS handicap index of 28.4 or better (Boys) and 36.4 or better (Girls).
- Entry fees: £29.99 for the Masters Tour. 10% Discount for all PJGT members.
- Refunds will not be issued within two weeks of the event date. Any cancellations made before this period may be eligible for a refund, subject to administration fees.
- Players may have the option to transfer their entry to another event within the same calendar year, subject to availability at the chosen event.
2. DIVISIONS
- The Tournament will be split into a Gross and Nett Order of Merit with the following divisions:
- Under 12/ Under 15 & Under 21 Boys (All these Divisions are Gross and Nett).
- Under 12/ Under 15 & Under 21 Girls (All these Divisions are Gross and Nett).
- Categories/ Handicap Index bandings are subject to change dependent upon entries, but they will be decided before the first event.
- Players will remain in the same category that they play the first event, for the remainder of the season, including the Grand Final.
- Once a player has been allocated a division, they will remain in that division for the remainder of the season, unless there is a valid reason to change.
- If a player does decide to change mid-season, the Order of Merit points for the previous division will not be able to be carried over/ transferred to a new division.
3. FORMAT
- 18-Holes Individual Stroke Play – 95% allowance (Nett Divisions only).
- Follow the R&A rules of Golf and any local rules of the host venue.
- All events will use a max scoring system of Five over per hole. (e.g. – The maximum score you could could have would be an 8 on a Par 3, 9 on a Par 4 and 10 on a Par 5).
- If the player reaches the maximum number of shots, this is recorded on the scorecard, and the golfer moves onto the next tee).
- The max scoring system, in line with the R&A rules, has been implemented to support a decent pace of play at each event.
4. PRIZES/ TROPHIES
- Prizes/ Trophies will be awarded to the Best Gross and Best Nett winners within each category.
- Presentation of prizes for all events will take place once a full division/ category has completed their round creating a series of mini presentations. All players are encouraged to attend and winners should ensure they extend their apologies if unable to.
- Please note, if you win both the Gross and Nett events, you will only be eligible for one prize. Since both prizes hold the same value, the Nett prize will be awarded, as the tournament has always prioritised the Nett format.
- Countback will be decided if two or more players are tied for the win using the following system (Best Back 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes).
5. ORDER OF MERIT

- In the case of a tie; countback will be applied to determine the winner (i.e. Last 9, 6, 3, 1 holes)
- Each player competes in an Order of Merit with the Best 5 scores out of 19 to count towards the final Order of Merit standings.
- The top 4 players within each Gross and Nett Division will qualify for the Grand Final at Thonock Park.
- In the event of two players having the same Order of Merit points’ total, the player with the highest finish in any one event will finish higher in table. If the two players have the same best finish it will be decided by their second-best finish and so on.
6. GRAND FINAL 2025
- To qualify for the Grand Final, players must compete in the Order of Merit where a players Best 5 scores will be used to count towards the Order of Merit standings.
- The Grand Final takes place on Saturday 13th September 2025 at Thonock Park, The Belt Road, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, DN21 1PZ.
- This event will be played on the Parks Course and will be complimentary for those who qualify.
- Each player will compete in an Individual and Team event for the Grand Final 2025.

ROOKIES TOUR RULES
1.ENTRIES

- Are aged 6 to 12 years (Boys & Girls) on 1stJanuary 2025.
- Have a WHS handicap index and Membership Number (Previously called a CDH number).
- Do not have a handicap
- Entry fees: £19.99 for the Rookies Tour. 10% Discount for all PJGT members.
- Refunds will not be issued within two weeks of the event date. Any cancellations made before this period may be eligible for a refund, subject to administration fees.
- Players may have the option to transfer their entry to another event within the same calendar year, subject to availability at the chosen event.

- Boys (Aged 6-7 years) Blue Tees
- Boys (Aged 8-9 years) Blue Tees
- Boys (Aged 10-12 years) Red Tees (or equivalent colour)
- Girls (Aged 6-9 years) Blue Tees
- Girls (Aged 10-12 years) Red Tees (or equivalent colour)Stroke Play played over 9 holes at each venue.
3. FORMAT
- Stroke Play played over 9 holes at each venue.
- All players in the Rookies Tour will play in a Gross competition only which is subject to a maximum of 5 over par on each hole.
- Those playing from the Blue tees will also play using adapted rules (see below).
All categories (Blue & Red tees) will follow R&A and Local Rules on scorecards with a 5 over shot maximum per hole (maximum of 8 on a par 3, 9 on a par 4 & 10 on a par 5), when a player has played the maximum number of shots, they MUST pick up their ball and mark the appropriate 5 over par maximum on their scorecard.
4. ADDITIONAL PJGT BEGINNER RULES (Blue Tees Only)
- BUNKERS: If a player is in a bunker and cannot get out after TWO attempts, they pick up their ball and take a FREE drop to the nearest side of the bunker within 2 club lengths
- WATER HAZARDS: Players are NOT allowed to try and collect their ball. Players should drop a ball within a safe distance to the side of the hazard for a ONE STROKE PENALTY.
- STAKED TREES: Must NOT be damaged. Players MUST pick up their ball and take a FREE DROP away from the tree. This rule applies to staked trees only.
- BALL LOST OR OUT OF BOUNDS: If a ball is lost or out of bounds, a ball should be dropped as near as possible to where the ball went for a ONE STROKE PENALTY.
- AIR SHOTS: Nobody wants an air shot, so as long as you don’t make contact with the ball that stroke does not count.
- Tournament Directors decision will be FINAL on all disputes.
