NORTHERN JUNIOR GOLF TOUR 2024
MASTERS TOUR RULES
1. ENTRIES
Entries are open to players who are:
- Boys – Aged 18 years old and under on the 1st January 2024.
- Girls – Aged 21 years old and under on the 1st January 2024.
- Have a WHS handicap index of 28.4 or better (Boys) & 36.4 or better (Girls).
- Entry fees: £25.99 for Non Members. 10% discount for NJGT 2024 members.
2. DIVISIONS

- Categories/Handicap Index bandings are subject to change dependent upon
entries, but they will be decided before the first event - Players will remain in the category that they play the first event in for all of the qualifying events and final.
3. FORMAT
- 18 holes Individual Stroke play – 95% handicap allowance.
- Following the R&;A rules of golf 2024 and any local rules at the host venue.
- All events will use max scoring of five over per hole (e.g. – 8 on a par 3, 9 on a par 4 & a 10 on a par 5).
- At the point the golfer reaches a maximum score,
this is recorded, and the golfer moves to the next tee.
4. PRIZES/ TROPHIES
- Prizes/Trophies and Order of Merit points will be awarded to the best net and
best gross score in each category. - Presentation of prizes for all events will take place after play at each event. All
players are encouraged to attend, and winners should ensure they extend
their apologies if unable to. - Countback will be decided to if two or more players are tied (last 9, 6, 3, 1
holes)
5. ORDER OF MERIT (GROSS & NET)

here. - Each player competes in an Order of Merit with the Best 6 scores count
towards the final Order of Merit standings. - The top 4 players within each Division will qualify for the Grand Final.
- In the event of two players having the same Order of Merit points’ total, the
player with the highest finish in any one event will finish higher in table. If the
two players have the same best finish it will be decided by their second-best
finish and so on. - Please note, a player cannot win both the net and gross category. If a player
does this the Net Order of Merit will take precedent and the person in
2nd position in the Gross Order of Merit will qualify for the Grand Final.
