Junior golf in Fife

The PING Junior Golf Tour comes to Fife once in 2027, at Lundin Golf Club.

Proper tournaments for boys and girls aged 6 to 21 – 9 holes on the Rookies Tour, 18 on the Masters – scored live, with a season-long Order of Merit and a Grand Final at the end of it. Your child does not need to belong to a golf club, and can enter any event on the schedule, in Fife or anywhere else.

Questions parents ask

Junior golf in Fife: the answers

If yours is not here, the full FAQs cover the rest, or Jason will happily answer it.

  • Where does the PING Junior Golf Tour play in Fife?

In 2027 the tour plays one event in Fife, at Lundin Golf Club in Lundin Links. Every venue has its own page with a map, directions and the next date there.

  • When is the next junior golf event in Fife?

The next event in Fife is at Lundin Golf Club on Sunday 2 May 2027. Entries are through Golf Genius, and the event page shows how many places are left.

  • Can my child play events outside Fife?

Yes. There are no regional restrictions – any player can enter any event on the schedule, wherever they live. The nearest other counties on the tour are Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and Cumbria.

  • Does my child need a handicap?

Not for the Rookies Tour, which is for ages 6 to 12 and sets its divisions by age. The Masters Tour is for juniors aged 21 and under with a WHS handicap of 28.4 or better for boys, or 36.4 or better for girls.

  • Do we need to belong to a golf club?

No. The Rookies Tour is open with or without a handicap, so club membership is not needed. A handicap is only required for the Masters Tour.

  • How much does it cost to enter?

Rookies Tour events are £29.99 and Masters Tour events £41.99, including VAT. Every event is open to members and non-members; members get priority entry, a month before everyone else.

  • How does my child qualify for the Grand Final?

Every player earns Order of Merit points at each event, and their best five scores of the season count. The top players in each division go through to the Grand Final, which is free for every qualifier. Players need to have played at least five events.

  • Can we walk round with our child?

Yes. Family and friends are encouraged to walk the course and support the group. We just ask that players make their own decisions out there, and that everyone keeps off the greens.
